For future customers to have better understanding of Secret House MAKISHI,
I have written this blog to assist foreign customer for a better understanding and how to enjoy this great hotel!
It was an honor to get interviewed by TV news crew! 
Although the exterior of the building looks very ordinary and plain however the interior has lots and lots of surprises!
First of all there is no front desk,
Before check-in you must email your passport information to Secret House MAKISHI.
Once you have emailed your passport information you would then receive your room number + room password.
You can contact Secret House MAKISHI through Line,Facebook,Wechat or Gmail.
Secret House MAKISHI's staff speaks perfect English / Chinese / and Japanese you do not have to worry about communication.
I must say the staff are very caring , they answered all of my questions immediately and even reminded me of the weather , very considerate.

There are two room types! Premium Double Room and Executive Queen Room, select the room type you desire!
Premium Double Room 2 people can sleep on queen bed , 1 person can sleep on extra bed , 1 person can sleep on sofa. (Suitable for 3 adults + 1 child)
Executive Queen Room 2 people can sleep on queen bed , 1 person can sleep on extra bed , 2 people can sleep on sofa. (Suitable for 5 adults)
( I have to be honest at first i thought sleeping on sofa would be awful however once i have entered the room i was speechless
, the room is so spacious and clean! the sofa is very comfortable and wide, perhaps it is better than sleeping on bed?! :P ) 
Without front desk check-in is very convenient,saves up so much time and energy.
You may use the elevator or stairs to 2nd floor you will then see the key box,
Secret House MAKISHI is very considerate they even provided videos on how to check in!
Even if you do not understand the procedure, simply just follow the video step by step!

I guess the reason why it is called Secret House MAKISHI is because...
You can secretly check-in and check-out without anyone noticing,
That is also the merit of not having a front desk.

This is by far the biggest room i've seen in Japan.
Spacious and beautiful!
High class! High standard! High quality. 
Also the toilet and shower room are seperated! very comfortable!!
I've never seen such a big bathtub within Japan~ a hot bath would be nice. 
Although the price of the room is expensive but i do believe you get what you paid for!
Trust me, stay here for a night and you will understand the difference between Secret House MAKISHI and other Hotels.
I think the room design is also suitable for families with kids, it is spacious so it is perfect for kids to jump and run around.
Now i am going to introduce the amenities,
The amenities they provide are very generous,
In every room there is Humidifier,Air freshener,Microwave,60inch LCD TV,Kettle,Free drinks. Hair curler, Ion hairdryer, Sheet mask, Cleansing gel, Serum lotion, Serum milky lotion, Facial foam, Cotton set, Contact lense liquid, Bath salt flavorsx4, Bath towel, Face towel, Bath robe, Hair brush, Shaver, Toothbrush, TSUBAKI shampoo, body wash, conditioner, with everything you can imagine! You deserve the best!
Sheet mask, Cleansing gel, Serum lotion, Serum milky lotion, Facial foam , Contact lense liquid , Bath salt these amenities hardly appear in other hotels!
I think it is very conveient for girls.
It feels just like home! i get everything i need! Thumbs up!!!
Not only is the ''Simmons'' bed are very comfortable to sleep in!
The sofa is very wide and comfortable, too.
You may also use the extra bed provided in each room.
What more do i have to say about the 60 inch TV? It is awesome.
I wish i can stay in this room forever~
You may also use the washing machine + dryer, it is free! very considerate.
Big refrigerator + microwave!
There are free Okinawa Orion Beer x 2 , Jasmine Tea x 2 , Mineral Water x 2 inside the fridge too! 
Air freshener is an amazing idea! Not only it is good for the kids it is good for adults too!
Like i said, you get what you paid for! worth every penny.
Now i am going to introduce the large balcony! which is one of my favorite.
Not only is the balcony huge, i really enjoyed chatting with my friends while drinking in the balcony.
The ''Green Hill Park'' is right accross Secret House MAKISHI, if you come at the right season you may also see the beautiful ''Sakura'' covering the entire park.
Secret House MAKISHI is at prime location!
Although it is located on ''Kokusai Street'' , it is still in the residential area so it is very quiet at night!
Compare to other hotels on ''Kokusai Street'' Secret House MAKISHI is very quiet and convenient.
10sec walk to ''Green Hill Park''
There is basketball court, swing,slide,climbing rope,sakura and lots and lots of cats!Great place to have family time and date
I must say there are so many stray cats in Okinawa,
Just within this park i have met more than 20 cats
You may purchase cat food from the ''Family Mart'' convenient store near by!
These cats are not shy at all as long as you have cat food!
Though she looks pissed she is actually very nice.
This cat is very special and popular among other cats,
He can often be spotted around Secret House MAKISHI.
Now i am going to introduce the famous food and drinks around Secret House MAKISHI!
[Tanbo Ramen]
Just 5min walk to the most famous Ramen shop in NAHA,
Tanbo Ramen is ranked number 1 in Okinawa, however there will always be a long line of customers waiting outside the restaurant.
In order to eat this delicious Ramen you may have to wait for more than 20min in line. 
Just accross the street you may see ''KOI Tea''! It is one of the most famous drink brand in Taiwan.
If you have ever drank it in Taiwan, please try it in Okinawa , too ! the flavor is slightly different.
Needless to say the most convenient part of staying in Secret House MAKISHI is it only takes 20sec walk to ''Kokusai Street'', it is located in the middle of ''Kokusai Street' prime location.
Buy as much as you want! Go back to Secret House MAKISHI take a break and you can go on a shopping spree again!
To the closest ''MAKISHI Station'' and ''MIEBASHI Station'' is only 8min walk!

There are lots of parking space around Secret House MAKISHI,
However i do not recommend the ones in front of Secret House MAKISHI,
It does not have a maximum price, so if you are parking your car over night it will cost you more than $5000 yen the next morning.

Now hear me out! I must compliment Secret House MAKISHI on this,
Most of the foriengers does not know how to use/pay at the car park,
So Secret House MAKISHI has translated and taught us on how to use the parking machine, isn't it wonderful!?!?!? 
*You would only have to pay when you are leaving! you do not have to pay in advance!*
Caution! Once you have made your payment at the machine please leave the car park within 5min otherwise the fence will rise up again.

In solution why did i choose Secret House MAKISHI? why would i recommend it to others?
1. Famous tourist spot [Kokusai Street] is just 1min walk from hotel! Although it is located in [Kokusai Street] but it is quiet and safe!
2. Although there is no front desk, but i can contact them anytime anywhere through LINE,Wechat or Email, the staff speaks perfect English! So i never had to worry about communication. Not only did i have privacy but also the quality of stay is better than 5 star hotels.
3. The room type of Secret House MAKISHI are larger than most of the hotels in Japan, it is more suitable for kids and elderly.
4. Compare to most Airbnb accommodations Secret House MAKISHI is safer and with higher standard, It has Hotel license, so it is legal, which most of the Airbnb accommodations are illegal in Japan.
